We stayed for a week in Haiku House, March 11 – 18, 2023. From the moment we arrived and were personally greeted by Cece, it felt like we had walked into a magical forest and a relaxing home. The home is beautiful, warm and inviting with all of the gorgeous wood and it is well appointed throughout. The beds are comfortable, the sheets are soft, as well as the towels, and their are inviting views in every direction. The sounds of the birds and wild chickens we found inviting. Cece was always available and helpful – she booked dinner reservations in advance as well as mid-week and provided any advice we needed. We elected to rent the car with the house which I would recommend. Haiku is too far to consistently walk to The Bottoms. You could get taxi’s but we loved the convenience of hopping in the car and while initially intimidating, it was really quite easy to drive the island.
Saba itself is wonderful – the flora, the fauna, the people, the food and the artisans. It was an absolutely wonderful vacation. I have traveled the world and I was really impressed by the relaxing vibe of Haiku House and Saba.
Sea Saba was an excellent dive outfit and we greatly enjoyed dining at Chez Bubba, Brigadoon, Saba Snack, Tropics and Rendezvous. And morning coffee and pastry at Bizzy B . We will be back 🙂
