Reviews Saba Villa

We love Saba and our house on this beautiful island in the Dutch Caribbean. Read here some testimonials of out guests which visited the Haiku House Villa.

Haiku House is stunning in every way

Our vacation at the Haiku House on Saba was perfect – and our experience began before our plane landed on the island.

Michael and Albert thoughtfully and expertly took care of our pre-vacation requests to ensure -- from the moment we arrived -- we had everything we needed and even a few things we hadn’t requested: groceries for breakfast, a list of fun restaurants, advice regarding taxi service, tropical flowers in the house, the list goes on and on. Their gracious support continued through our week on the island.

Michael and Albert’s deft touch extended to their management of the spectacular Haiku House. Sitting high above the Caribbean sea and tucked into the rainforest, the beautifully decorated, well-equipped and perfectly maintained Haiku House is stunning in every way. On six of our seven days, we lounged comfortably by the pool and enjoyed “sundowners” on the lower-level deck; we had everything we needed. On the seventh day – glass walls retracted -- we relaxed in the large great room and enjoyed watching the clouds and storms spill over the mountains.

During our week at the Haiku House, we toured the island a bit, but why would we leave such a beautiful house? We had a wonderful, relaxing week and are forever in Michael and Albert’s debt for ensuring it was so.

We enjoyed every moment of our stay in this house

Saba island is a magical place. It reminded us of Capri: a place for emperors.

This house is magnificent. Photos do not do it justice.
My wife and I have rented for our vacation multiple houses all around the world, but this house is the first in our list. It has everything we looked for: view, privacy, spaciousness.

In fact we spent a lot of time at home just relaxing, reading, cooking and enjoying the pool and the view. We left the house on few occasions: to explore the SABA hiking trails (at a walking distance from the house), visit the Spa at the hotel nearby, taking some diving classes, exploring the coastline and dining at the local restaurants and bars.

Michael and Albert, the property managers, made our arrival and stay in Saba easy and flawless. In every moment of our trip they were extremely helpful, full of precious advise, very responsive and proactive. They know Saba inside out. From hooking us up with a local fisherman, to recommending an organic farm where we could pick vegetables and fresh herbs for cooking; it seemed they always had a solution ready for our needs.

We enjoyed every moment of our stay in this house and we will be back!

A Haiku House Guest Testimonial

In early August 2015, we held our wedding at Haiku House on Saba. Haiku House property managers, Michael and Albert were very helpful in all aspects of our planning and preparations for the event. Upon booking the property, we received a very nice and detailed information packet about the property but also with all of the “need to know” info on the entire island. We had a million questions and urgent needs with everything from finding a minister to finding a way to dry clean the wedding dress, and Michael and Albert supported us offering suggestions and pointing us in the right direction. Upon our arrival at Haiku House, Michael and Albert welcomed us warmly and took time introducing us to Haiku House and its many amenities, making sure that we were totally comfortable with everything from lighting and sound systems to internet and taxi services, and letting us know that they were available anytime we needed …anything. It’s hard to explain how nice it was knowing that we could pick up the phone and have a “lifeline” anytime it might be needed. After booking, they had asked if we wanted some food upon arrival since we were arriving on a Sunday, …but we never got back to them. When we arrived they had bought, bread and cheese and wine, eggs, bacon, orange juice, tons of snacks, and more. We were famished when we arrived and had a very nice welcome breakfast. As we had arrived early, the cleaning crew was still there. First, she offered to make breakfast for us, and we declined, but then she insisted on cleaning up our dishes and mess!

Haiku house is a beautiful and elegant property inside and out and is pre-loaded with everything you need for a great quiet stay. It was a perfect venue for our wedding and was well worth the price. We had about 20 friends and family attending and everyone agreed that it was a beautiful and serene property. Prior to departure, we were looking for an Island keepsake gift to give our wedding guests. We had previously searched everything on line and found nothing and while on the island we never found anything quite right, but at the last minute, we asked Michael. He made a call and then called us back. We ended up at the dive shop and got some beautiful and reasonably priced Saba beach towels for all of our guests.

We want to thank Michael and Albert for their warm and professional help with our wonderful vacation wedding. The memories will stay with us for the rest of our lives.
